Dr. Roger Redman
Go Bucks! I’m the #1 Ohio State University fan at the Ark. I received my Bachelor of Science degree and D.V.M. from OSU after graduating from Triway High School. I have been the owner of the Ark since 1992 and have been an active member of a number of state and national veterinary boards, including appointments by Governors Taft and Kasich to the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board.
Recently, Dr. Redman has been elected AAVSB (American Assoc Veterinary State Boards) Board of Directors. “I was born with veterinary medicine in my blood, as my father is a retired veterinarian from the O.A.R.D.C. I live with my wife, Peggy and I have two children, Connor and Morgan and 3 step-children, Ashley, Heather and Lindsey and seven step-grandchildren. I have 2 dogs, Jazzy, Chloe. In addition to caring for your animals,
I love being on the water; water skiing, wakeboarding and fresh and salt water fishing. I also have a passion for flying single engine aircraft and woodworking.”
Dr. Amy Suttle
I was born and raised in Martins Ferry, Ohio. After graduating high school, I attended The Ohio State University and majored in Zoology and minored in Business. I then continued on to receive a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at OSU.
After school, I moved to Northeast Ohio for my husband, who is originally from Wayne County. At home, we currently have Oscar, our Pug, and Ernie, our French Bulldog. In the office, I enjoy all parts of veterinary medicine but have special interest in dentistry and giving kittens/puppies the best start we can for a healthy life with good preventative care and behavior plans. Outside of the office, I spend my free time with my husband and dogs running, reading, watching/playing sports and traveling.
I’ve worked in the veterinary profession since 2003, and started at the Ark July 2012.
Dr. Kristen Wellert
Veterinarian, Medical Director
Born and raised in upstate New York, I never imagined that I would be living in Ohio, but I could not be happier that this is where life has taken me! I met my husband Shaun in Veterinary School at The Ohio State University in 2007 and we now live on the family dairy farm in West Salem. I have to say that I am thoroughly enjoying the farm life! I have two wonderful boys; Xander, a very energetic toddler and his little brother Ollie, who was born in May of 2015. My boys are my pride and joy and I could not imagine life without their smiles. When I am not at the clinic, you bet you can find me spending time with my family, most likely outdoors going for a walk or playing in the sandbox. Not far behind would be our dog Fred, and our cats Bob and Doug. When I am at the clinic I enjoy all parts of my work however I have particular interests in Dentistry and Internal Medicine and the most rewarding part of my job is the relationships that I form with my clients and my patients.
I graduated from Triway High School and have lived in Wooster my entire life. Animals have always been my true love. I worked at Wayne County Humane Society while in high school and have worked as a veterinary assistant for over 30 years, joining the Ark healthcare team in 2004.
I have 3 Dachshunds (2 long hair, 1 smooth) and 2 cats. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and watching movies. Recently, I started with the Therapy Dogs Inc and Pet Pals where I help teach bite prevention to young children and do hospital and nursing home visitation with my pets.
I have been a member of the Healthcare team at Ark Veterinary Hospital since 2000. In addition to graduating from Berea High School, I attended Polaris Vocational and Ohio State University. Tiger, my cat, and Touche’, my 30 year old turtle live with me in Jeromesville.
I enjoy relaxing and having fun with family and friends. I enjoy fishing, 4-wheeling, Volkswagons and sled riding.

Client Care Coordinator
I grew up and graduated in Wyoming before moving to Ohio for a short period. I moved to Michigan for 7 years for school in Nursing, it was great but I didn’t feel passionate about it. I became a Massage Therapist for 5 years. As well as working as a wildlife rehab volunteer for a song bird Rescue for 4 years and worked with rescues as a foster. I loved working with animals and wanted to do more. I loved Michigan but my heart belonged in Ohio where my parents had grown up and much of my extended family resides. In my spare time I enjoy crafting, welding, puzzles and gardening. My favorite past time is spending time at our family farm with my Standard Poodle Maddie. I have been in the veterinary field for a year and have enjoyed it immensely. I look forward to meeting you and helping your fur babies soon!

Reptiles are my passion and I hope to work with them more in the future. In my free time I like to do various types of art, rock climb, kayak, hike, cycle, and run! I am excited to be part of such a wonderful team and cannot wait to meet all of you!

I have always loved the outdoors, and maintain several different kinds of plants throughout my home and yard. In the future, I hope to travel the world and participate in world poverty relief missions.
