What Exactly is Day Boarding?

If you’re extremely busy with work, errands, or some other business that will keep you away from the house most of the day, consider leaving your pet with us for the time being. Day boarding is especially convenient for pet parents who need to bring in their pet for an appointment, but do not have time to stay for the full appointment themselves. In such a case, you’re welcome to drop off your pet and leave their care to us, while you manage your other obligations.

Dogs and cats can still take part in our day boarding service even if they do not need medical or preventative care. Just be sure to contact us before dropping off your pet so we understand the reason for their brief boarding stay.

Features of Our Pet Boarding Service

At Ark Veterinary Hospital, we provide our boarding guests with:

  • Clean, comfortable, spacious kennels
  • Soft bedding, which is changed out daily
  • 3 individualized walks each day (for dogs only)
  • High-quality, bland (but palatable) pet food promoting gastrointestinal health*

*We recommend bringing your pet’s own food from home for their boarding visit, especially if they are on a prescription diet for their health.
